Getting started

Open No-Red Budget App, add income and expenses manually or upload CSV, TSV, TXT, JSON, OFX, or QFX files. Review detected rows, approve the items you want, then tap Create / update budget.

Editing entries

Use Edit on a saved transaction to change the amount, income type, category, due date, pay date, frequency, priority, or note. Income entries use income types like Paycheck, Side income, Benefits, Other income, or Custom income. Priority choices apply to bills and expenses only.

Planning ahead

The month selector uses the device date/time by default and also lets users choose future months. Each month is stored separately so future planning does not overwrite the current month.

Bill reminders and paid status

Optional bill reminders appear only when No-Red Budget App is opened. Mark paid removes an unpaid item from the due reminder list for that due occurrence. Mark due can be used to undo the paid status. Mark paid does not send a payment.

Backups and moving devices

Use Export backup before clearing app data, changing phones, or reinstalling. To move data to another device, export a backup from the old device and restore it on the new device.

Delete local data

Use Reset app data inside the app or clear app/browser storage on the device. Because this version does not use cloud accounts, deleting local data on the device removes the app's local copy from that device.
